3 Cool Hacks for House Hunting in the Summer
We all know Arizona is notorious for having over three hundred days of sunshine, so it’s no surprise that at some point you may find yourself house hunting in the summer. Though summer isn’t “officially” here yet, there’s no denying that Arizona’s temperatures are on the rise. Wondering how you’re going to survive searching for a home in the heat? Here are 3 cool hacks for house hunting in the summer.
1.) Start early
Not interested in house hunting mid-day in 115 degree weather? Try to schedule your showings in the morning between 8:30 am and noon before things really start to heat up. Can’t do mornings? Ask your real estate agent if you can see homes in the early evenings between 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm. It may still be warm out, but it’ll be a lot more bearable and not as blazing hot.
2.) Plan ahead
Depending on where the homes you want to view are located, it’d be best to have your Realtor® map out homes that are close to one another. Having a clear plan of which homes you want to visit will help lessen the amount of time you’re traveling in the heat.
3.) Hydrate often
House hunting while dehydrated could seriously dampen the joy of the experience as well as cloud your judgement. Drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated is extremely important in dry climates like Arizona and especially during the hottest months of the year. Pack a few bottles of water with you while you work up a sweat shopping for your new Arizona home.
